Breitling Chronomat 44 Blacksteel Special Edition

The Breitling Chronomat 44 Blacksteel Special Edition is the latest chronograph in the Chronomat series. And looking at the bright yellow colour it is indeed a Special Edition. As yellow is Breitling’s signature colour.

However, only the special colour, which can be found in the strap as well, is ‘new’. Oh well, and the small chronograph dials and seconds dial are round shaped. At the ‘standard’ Chronomat 44 Blacksteel these small dials are squares.

So you get the same robust watch. With the same satin-brushed steel case. It also comes with a black carbon-based high-resistance treatment bezel. With the same manufacture Breitling 01 movement, but now with a very bright dial. With matching rubber strap. Disappointed? You shouldn’t. It is – again – a appealing time piece from Breitling showing their capabilities to produce watches with a more individual design.

Yes, it has a clear presence, and no, we wouldn’t wear it with a business suite. But it’s black (trending!) and it’s a Breitling with its proven technology and quality. What else do you want? Another Breitling perhaps? There are plenty new ones this year. Check them out.
