Breguet presents two versions of a tourbillon in the Classique collection, the Breguet Classique Tourbillon 3358. Both almost full of diamonds. The Classique collection pays homage to the heritage of Abraham-Louis Breguet, the founder of the brand. He is often regarded as one of the greatest watchmakers in history, as he also patented the tourbillon in 1801. An innovation considered as one of the most significant in the world of watches.

The new Classique Tourbillon 3358 is available with a 35-millimeter case from either white gold or rose gold. Diamonds are adorning the case, bezel, crown and dial. However, both have another design. We’ll explain the differences.

The Starlit Night is blue and comes in white gold

The white gold version, the Starlit Night, displays a midnight blue mother-of-pearl dial with a number of stars in several sizes. Six of them are set with diamonds. And it includes a captivating shooting star design embellished with 45 snow-set diamonds positioned above its tourbillon. A blue spinel can be seen at the center of it.

The off-centered sub dial for the hours and minutes positioned at 12 o’clock is also executed in midnight blue. And this one is adorned with five stars. It is provided with Arabic numerals together with rhodium-plated gold Breguet hands. At 4 o’clock the serial number is indicated. The bezel and lugs are also set with diamonds, the crown has a rose-cut diamond.

The Stunning Sight has a diamond dial with rose gold case

The rose gold version, the Stunning Sight, has a dial filled with 281 diamonds. It has a pattern where the diamonds at 3 and 9 o’clock are gracefully curved, while inside the chapter ring it has a snow-setting figure. The oval-shaped aperture at 6 o’clock, housing the tourbillon, features a rounded gold bar adorned with 14 diamonds.

The time is depicted on a mother of pearl chapter ring at the 12 o’clock position. Just like the Starlit Night it has Arabic numerals, here with gold Breguet hands. This version also has a bezel and lugs with diamonds, and the crown features a rose-cut diamond as well.

The Breguet Classique Tourbillon 3358 has a power reserve of 50 hours

The 3358 is powered by the hand-wound Breguet caliber 187D which can be admired through its sapphire case back. And partly through the open-worked construction around the tourbillon. This movement has a steel Breguet balance-spring featuring a hand-crafted Breguet terminal curve. It beats at a frequency of 2.5 Hz providing a power reserve of 50 hours.

The Breguet Classique Tourbillon 3358 comes on a glossy alligator leather strap in midnight blue or crimson red. With either a white gold or rose gold triple folding clasp set with 42 diamonds.
