The Breguet Classique 7145 Lunar New Year 2024 is a limited edition released to commemorate the Year of the Dragon. Just like the Classique 5345, this timepiece also features a hand-engraved gold applique dragon on the dial. However, the pearl figure is not clasped on the dragon’s claw. Here the majestic creature just stands tall and keeps a close eye on its precious pearl. This Classique 7145 version is limited to eight pieces only.
The 40-millimeter 7145 has a crimson red dial displaying various shades between the chapter ring and the center. Which is achieved through a rarely used technique in modern times; grand feu enameling. Grand feu enameling is known for its durability, resistance to fading, and the ability to create deep, vibrant colors. It requires a high level of skill and precision, and the artisans who specialize in this technique are highly regarded in the watchmaking industry.
On the dial, the Roman numerals, minutes track, and clouds shine in a soft powder-pink and golden glow. The delicate round gold hour-markers show the hours on the chapter ring of the watch. And Breguet’s signature open-tipped hands point out the time on the dial.

Inside beats one of the thinnest movements of the brand, the automatic Breguet caliber 502.3. The watch’s self-winding movement, consisting of 162 parts, provides the timepiece with a power reserve of 45 hours. It comes with a silicon balance-spring and pallet-lever, offering resistance to corrosion and wear. Silicon, in addition to being durable, is also insensitive to magnetic fields, contributing to the timepiece’s precision. And lastly, the sapphire crystal case back allows you to appreciate the gold oscillating weight, hand-guilloché with a circular barleycorn motif.
