The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Selfwinding Chronograph 41 mm Yellow Gold is one of the new gold Royal Oaks released this year. This design reflects the Royal Oak “Jumbo” Extra-thin versions unveiled in 2022 during the collection’s 50^th anniversary. The first yellow gold Royal Oak first appeared in 1977 and was designed especially for women. Now, the new all-dressed yellow gold timepiece features a 41-millimeter case, mostly suitable for every gender.

The case and bracelet are fully yellow gold and the Grande Tapisserie dial as well. The dial also has a smoked effect that creates contrast and clarity to the gold hour-markers and hands. This effect is obtained by spraying a black varnish beginning from the borders going towards the center. It has three gold-toned sub counters at 3, 6 and 9 o’clock for the chronograph functions and small seconds.

In the middle of the case beats the automatic Audemars Piguet caliber 4401, AP’s latest integrated chronograph. The entire mechanism can be seen through its sapphire case back featuring a column wheel chronograph with a vertical clutch. It has a flyback system which enables several new measurements in a row, swiftly and easily, as the chronograph can be restarted without being interrupted or reset first. This movement provides a power reserve of 70 hours.
