This movement was launched in 2019 for the Speedmasters. This 3861 is the successor of the Omega caliber 1861 and the 1960s Omega caliber 861. The base from way back is a heavily modified Lemania caliber 1873.

This new 3861 has an anti-magnetic hairspring and co-axial escapement. And it is equipped with a free-sprung balance with a silicon balance spring, enhancing durability and improving shock resistance.

Accuracy of the Omega caliber 3861

The Omega 3861 is COSC certified and METAS Certified, and the accuracy is between 0 and +5 seconds per day. It is also resistant to magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss.

The finishing has Côtes de Genève, rhodium-plated finishes on bridges and other decorative elements.
