After 10 years Richard Mille has restyled the RM 11: this is the Richard Mille RM 11-03 Automatic Flyback Chronograph. The three-part tonneau case (49.94 mm x 44.50 mm x 16.15 mm) has had a facelift to give it sportier looks.

Many details from motorsports can be found in the RM 11-03. Like the grade 5 titanium crown, which borrows the design of competition wheel rims and tyre treads to the ribbed pushers that recall the grooves on pedals fashioned of this material. Also present is NTPT carbon, as ubiquitous as titanium in Formula 1, used here to protect the pushers.

The Richard Mille RM 11-03 Automatic Flyback Chronograph is available in red or white gold and titanium. Chamfering and buffing the surfaces is entirely performed by hand and the case is held together by 20 grade 5 titanium spline screws.

The calibre of the Richard Mille RM 11-03 Automatic Flyback Chronograph is inspired by a Formula 1 race car

Inside is the all-new RMAC3 calibre, inspired by the aerodynamics of a Formula 1 race car, which is complemented by yellow racing accent rings. It uses a new variable-geometry rotor construction from grade 5 titanium. Besides the updated technical systems there are a number of new features. Like the flyback chronograph with a countdown function. And the annual calendar with automatic adjustment for months of 30 and 31 days. There is an oversized date indication just under the 12 o’clock position. A small month display is placed between 4 and 5 o’clock.

On the back of the case a satin-brushed PVD-treated lower bridge highlights the double barrel mechanism. This ensures a power-reserve of around 55 hours.
