The IWC Pilot’s Watch Timezoner Top Gun Woodland is the second GMT pilot from the brand in their Top Gun collection. And when it says Woodland, it means it is green. As it is also available in black with reference IW395505. Furthermore it is also available as a chronograph, like this Top Gun in 41 millimeters. But then in green of course.

The GMT versions of the TopGun Pilot are the big boys, with 46 millimeters in diameter. The case and bezel are from ceramic and the case ring, outer bezel and crown are from ceratanium. Which is an IWC material that is a mix of ceramic and titanium. The bezel has a ring with 24 cities representing all the 24 time zones on Earth and adjusting your time zone is pretty simple. Just press and rotate the bezel in steps to the time zone you want. The hour hand, the 24-hour display and the date will move forwards or backwards in one-hour steps. This also works across the dateline and still keeps the minutes and seconds at the right time.

The IWC Pilot’s Watch Timezoner Top Gun Woodland has a power reserve of 60 hours

Inside this Timezoner is IWC’s automatic caliber 82760. This has a so called Pellaton winding system, named after the inventor Alfred Pellaton. The system was already patented in 1946 and completed in 1950, and uses pawls instead of direct gearing between the rotor and barrel. Which makes winding more efficient. The caliber 82760 is reinforced with ceramic components. You can watch it working through the tinted sapphire case back.

Almost everything of the watch is executed in dark green hues, so is the strap. It is green rubber with a textile inlay and a ceratanium pin buckle.
