The movement is a so called thermocompensated SuperQuartz, the Breitling caliber B60. It is brand new. Entirely developed by and for Breitling, and it bears COSC certification. Like most quartz chronographs it times up to 1/10^th of a second and does split times. There are two central chronograph hands. One for the seconds, and one for the minutes. There is a 24-hour counter between the 9 and 10 o’clock position. The sub-dial between 2 and 3 shows the 10^ths of a second.

The Breitling Professional Chronospace EVO B60 is cool but overpriced

Despite all the hands and counters the readability is very good. The dual color dials in either black and gray or blue and black contrasts perfectly well with the numerals and hands.

No matter how you look at this Breitling Professional Chronospace EVO B60, it is expensive. Even though it’s made from titanium. Perhaps the new owners of Breitling, CVC Capital, try to make big margins as quick as possible. No, other Breitling models with a quartz movement were never cheap. But if you take a look at what you can buy for less than 5k this Breitling might not be on top of your list.
