He made them thin and legible and so emblematic of its style that they bear its name: the Breguet numerals. Another homage to something typically Breguet is the minutes track, made up of tiny stars, while the five-minute fractions are marked with fleurs-de-lis.

As one of the oldest Swiss watchmakers around, Breguet mostly offers modest sizes. The same with the 7787, which comes in a size of 39 millimeters. The Breguet Classique Phase de Lune 7787 isn’t a new model; however it is now available in four versions. An 18-carat white or pink gold version in which you can choose for a silvered guilloche dial or a grand feu enamel dial.
The caliber 591 DRL is meticulously decorated and equipped with hour, minute and center-second functions. In addition, there are two other complications: a moon phase located at 12 o’clock and a power-reserve indicator at 3 o’clock. The movement has a 38-hour power-reserve, as well as a silicon escapement and balance-spring. Silicon has many advantages: it is extremely light for better shock-resistance, non-magnetic, and does not require lubrication.
