A new model within the Classique series of Breguet: the Breguet Classique 7327 Quantième Perpétuel. It comes in two versions: white gold with reference number 7327BB/11/9VU and rose gold with reference number 7327BR/11/9VU.

Already in the 18^th century Abraham-Louis Breguet creates a perpetual calendar, dealing with the different numbers of days in the months, even with leap years. Which means no less then 1,461 days need to be ‘stored’ in the mechanics of a watch in order to be accurate. Breguet manages this, and even couples it to an oscillating weight to keep his pocket watches – the wristwatch was not invented yet – running without having to wind them all the time.

The Breguet Classique 7327 Quantième Perpétuel breaths classic watch making

The new Breguet Classique 7327 Quantième Perpétuel makes use of the same building principles but is modernized to meet todays standards. It has a 39-millimeter 18-karat white or rose gold case. The silvered gold guilloche dial has five sub-features: a retrograde month indication, a day indicator and a date indicator with hands, a moon phase with indication of 29.5-day lunar cycle and a leap year indicator.

Inside the watch is Breguet’s 502.3.P caliber, which is a caliber 502 with an additional calendar mechanism. The 502.3.P can be admired through the transparent sapphire case back, where the gold oscillating weight does its job. The movement has a free-sprung balance wheel and a silicon hairspring and delivers a power reserve of 45 hours.

The Breguet Classique 7327 Quantième Perpétuel comes on a blue alligator leather strap with white gold folding clasp if you go for the white gold version. The rose gold comes on a brown alligator leather strap with rose gold folding clasp.
