The original DS-2 was a successor to the first DS model of 1959, known for its enhanced shock resistance and water protection. The modern DS-2 preserves this legacy, integrating Certina’s updated Double Security concept. This includes a reinforced case, a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, and water resistance up to 200 meters. These features make it suitable for various outdoor activities and everyday wear.

Powermatic 80 automatic

Today’s DS-2 models often include the Powermatic 80 automatic movement. This caliber offers an 80-hour power reserve and incorporates a Nivachron balance spring, enhancing resistance to magnetic fields. This combination ensures accuracy and reliability under diverse conditions.
