This is the thinnest watch in the world: the Richard Mille RM UP-01 Ferrari. It has a thickness of just 1.75 millimeters, which is extraordinary for a mechanical watch. Well, for any watch. For sure, a delicate time piece like this comes with a price – well above a million without taxes. And if you buy one, you will not be the only one with it: it is a limited edition of 150 pieces.
It measures 51 x 39 millimeters and it is mainly crafted from grade 5 titanium. The front and back are plates, the movement has its own base plate and that’s it. 13 titanium screws hold them together to ensure water resistance. On the dial side there are two apertures: a small one for the time, with red hour and minutes hands, and a small one for the balance wheel. Both apertures have their own sapphire crystal.

Adjusting the time or winding the movement can be done from the dial side. First you use the function selector: do you want to wind or set the time? Then the crown below can be used to either wind or set the time.
