Breitling presents the two new limited versions of the Breitling Professional Endurance Pro Ironman 2023. As the brand sponsors different Ironman triathlon series to where these two models are dedicated. The model comes in a blue or turquoise color, and both watches are limited to 250 pieces each.

The case measures 44 millimeters, and is from Breitlight, a sort of plastic that the brands uses since 2016. It is actually polymer strengthened with composite fibers, which is is 3.3 times lighter than titanium and 5.8 times lighter than steel, according to Breitling. Moreover, it is resistance to scratches and other harmful stuff and feels ‘warmer’ than metal. And it looks good. The bidirectional bezel is also from Breitlight and had a compass scale. Due to the use of this Breitlight the weight of the watch is below 60 grams.

The Breitling Professional Endurance Pro Ironman Limited Editions 2023 has a battery life of 2 years

Both models display an anthracite dial with color matching inner bezel with pulsometer scale. On the dial you can also see three counters. The chronograph 1/10 of a second at 3 o’clock and the 30-minute counter at 9 o’clock. The small seconds are at 6 o’clock and that sub dial also has an Ironman logo of the specific event related to the watch.

Inside the watch is the Breitling caliber 82, a thermo-compensated quartz movement. Meaning it can withstand great variations in temperature to maintain its accuracy. Which leads to an accuracy of about 10 seconds per year, where a regular quartz does about 10 seconds a month. It is also COSC certified, guaranteeing a certain quality that is comparable (but not the same) as a COSC certification of a mechanical watch. The battery life is around 24 months.

So Breitling’s Professional Endurance Pro is a rather costly quartz watch, but one that is on top of the range when you look at the quality.
